Peter Hay Kitchens are New Zealand’s leading kitchen cabinet manufacturing company, with over four decades of providing the latest in kitchen/laundry cabinets and bathroom vanities.

When they redesigned their website as part of their partnership with the hit TV series “The Block NZ” they came to ProductRenders to see if we could help them make their supplied CAD files come to life.

The first stage was to look at the entire range of cabinets and then work out a single render size that would compliment the new website’s look and feel. The second trickier stage was to show how the cabinets could work together but without having them in the same render.

These renders were being used in the shop section of their new site and having multiple cabinets in a single image could cause confusion for the consumer. But, when cabinets are seen out of a room setting it can be difficult to place them – is it wall mounted or a floor-standing cabinet? One solution to this would be to have each cabinet rendered in a single room setting but this really wouldn’t work as Peter Hay manufactures kitchen, laundry, garage and bathroom cabinets and vanities.

So, ProductRenders made a one-of-a-kind custom lighting rig that would not only show the stunning European design cabinetry but more importantly the final position and size relative to each other. This was achieved with subtle shading and shadows giving the final renders a clean none biased look that would allow the consumer to shop with confidence and without confusion.
